His children, two sets of twins, Aedan, Fionuala, Fiachra and Conn, ( three boys and a girl ) fell under the spell of their evil stepmother who changed them into swans, to wander the lakes of Ireland for nine hundred years. When they eventually resumed their human form they were ancient and skeletal in appearance and were baptized into the Christian Faith before they died.
